About Us

In early 2011, Brian and Liz started our first blog, I Left My Cart in San Francisco, which is dedicated to all the great street food that the Bay Area has to offer. While writing, we discovered that we liked writing about non-mobile restaurants, too! Sometimes we even get inspired to create and try new recipes. Rather than publishing it all on IMLC, we decided to branch out and create a happy home for all things culinary, but not necessarily related to food trucks. Hey, we will even have some fun culture and lifestyle thrown into the mix.

It's our journey - and one we can take together!

We hope that you will try out some of the recipes we post here on the site, and maybe even get inspired to create some of your own. Tell us what you like, tell us what you don't.

Who is Liz?
I am usually the one taking photos, so it's hard to find one of me! But don't you love sepia??

I spend my days managing the Finance & Accounting department for a 401k Administrator who caters to small businesses. Actually, I think it's the best company in the world! I work with great people, and I help people save for their retirement. What's not to love about that? In my spare time, I dream about food and I love taking pictures. Every time I go out to eat I am armed with my camera and I yell at people not to touch their food until I can click a photo. I am sure it annoys them, but luckily I have great family and friends who put up with me!

I am especially happy when I wake up in the morning to the smell of fresh muffins - sometimes Brian surprises me and it's a great way to start the day.

Liz loves to get email from readers. Reach her at liz at ileftmycartinsf dot net.

Who is Brian?
From when we were hanging out in Half Moon Bay

Brian is the resident chef in the house. Sometimes he is modest and downplays his ability to cook, but he really is fantastic! Most of the recipes you find here will be his creations. Liz keeps threatening to enter him into the next season of Master Chef, so one day you might find him rubbing elbows with Gordon Ramsay himself.

An IT professional by day, he handles all the technical aspects of the website and keeps abreast of all the latest happenings in the world of food.

For technical matters or other suggestions, contact him at brian at ileftmycartinsf dot net.
